Regian Eersel Crowned ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion After Defeating Rungrawee

April 10, 2026 – Bangkok, Thailand: ONE Championship hosted an electrifying event at the renowned Lumpinee Stadium for “The Inner Circle.”

In the highly anticipated main event, Regian Eersel, the current lightweight Muay Thai titleholder, secured a unanimous decision victory over Thailand’s Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong, earning him the vacant ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Championship. The Surinamese-Dutch powerhouse demonstrated his elite status with a dominant five-round performance.

Eersel, known as “The Immortal,” skillfully used his reach advantage to control the distance, peppering Rungrawee with numerous combinations from range throughout the first round. His signature jumping knees consistently kept his Thai opponent on the defensive in the initial two rounds, allowing the Amsterdam native to build a significant lead on the judges’ scorecards.

The momentum shifted decisively in the third round when Eersel landed a spectacular combination that sent Rungrawee to the canvas for a knockdown. Despite showing remarkable resilience to recover, Rungrawee faced a relentless offensive from Eersel in the fourth.

Rungrawee attempted to take the initiative in the final round, but his urgency resulted in an illegal elbow, leading to a point deduction. This incident seemed to ignite Eersel further, as he unleashed a fierce barrage of offense in the closing moments, solidifying his control of the fight.

All three judges unanimously declared Eersel the winner, crowning him the undisputed king of the lightweight division and a two-sport ONE World Champion once again.
