Riot Games Boosts Efforts to Combat Toxicity in League of Legends

Riot Games is currently testing an enhanced system designed to detect toxic behavior within League of Legends. The development team is specifically targeting disruptive actions like griefing and trolling, which include intentional feeding (purposely dying to the enemy to empower them) and sabotaging team plays. The primary objective of this testing phase is to achieve a high accuracy rate of 98% while significantly reducing false detections.

According to Lead Game Designer Phroxzon, the ongoing tests are focused on evaluating the system`s effectiveness. Players are encouraged to report any instances of unfair penalties, providing match identifiers and server details for investigation. Riot Games intends to publish a comprehensive report on the testing outcomes and outline future improvements to the player experience in the upcoming months.

Previously, Riot Games introduced an automated system to detect cheaters and also revamped the Honor system. These prior updates, alongside the new toxicity detection efforts, are part of a broader strategy to cultivate a more positive and equitable gaming environment for the entire community.
