Football legend Roy Keane has been called an “absolute gentleman” after visiting a superfan with dementia in the hospital.
The former Manchester United captain agreed to meet 77-year-old Pat O’Sullivan, who is unwell, following a radio request from his family.

Pat, who considers Roy a “total legend”, cried when they hugged.
Irishman Roy, 53, spent 35 minutes at Mercy hospital in Cork, his hometown, with Pat, his wife Catherine, and sons Derek, 44, and Rob, 41.
Rob said: “It was amazing of Roy to do that.
"My dad was absolutely thrilled.”
The footballer grew up near the family home in Cork and once had a pint with Pat in the Temple Acre pub.
Rob added: “My dad always talks about his friend Roy Keane.
"He was so happy to meet him, he cried twice.
“Roy put his arm around him and joked with him.
"He loved it."
