Rue on Third Map Against Chimera: “We Knew We Would Win Eventually”

Team Spirit’s Dota 2 support player, Alexander “rue” Filin, shared his assessment of the lower bracket match against Chimera Esports at DreamLeague Season 25. In a post-match interview, rue mentioned feeling somewhat tired but expressed the team’s unwavering confidence in securing victory on the extended third map.

“I’m a bit tired after a match that lasted over 200 minutes,” rue admitted. “Playing late game against Tinker and Nature’s Prophet is tough. I’m not very happy with it.” When asked about his role on Spirit Breaker, he responded, “Yes, of course. Although, no one ran with me. So I was mostly running around to gather information. We knew we would win in the end. Maybe not right away or even in an hour, but we would still win.”

DreamLeague Season 25 is taking place online from February 16th to March 2nd. Sixteen teams are competing for a $1 million prize pool and 20,440 EPT points. The match between Team Spirit and Chimera concluded with a 2-1 victory for Team Spirit. Both the first and third maps exceeded an hour in length. Chimera concluded their participation in the tournament finishing in the top 4, while Team Spirit is set to play on March 2nd for a chance to advance to the grand final.
