S1mple Disconnects from FACEIT Game During Live Stream Amid Intoxication Allegations

Professional Counter-Strike 2 player, Alexander `s1mple` Kostylev, recently conducted a personal stream where he appeared to be inebriated. During the broadcast, he participated in several FACEIT matches, ultimately abandoning his final game prematurely.

Evidence circulating online, including clips from s1mple`s own channel, suggests that he was consuming alcohol during the live stream. He was observed attempting to conceal bottles or glasses from the camera`s view. Furthermore, Kostylev reportedly engaged in loud and aggressive communication with his teammates via voice chat and exhibited erratic gameplay, such as rushing into the enemy base without proper visual awareness.

As the stream progressed, s1mple`s speech deteriorated, becoming increasingly slurred. He ultimately decided to abandon the ongoing FACEIT match, disconnecting from the server and concluding the broadcast after a brief farewell to his viewers. His behavior has been brought to the attention of a FACEIT community manager on the social media platform X, with complaints of unsportsmanlike conduct. The potential repercussions from FACEIT administration against the esports athlete remain uncertain at this time.

S1mple has been on inactive status since October 2023. In 2024, he briefly competed for Team Falcons as a stand-in and on loan. He is still contractually bound to Natus Vincere. Kostylev has previously indicated a shift in his gaming focus towards Dota 2, though he maintains an interest in the competitive CS2 scene.
