Inter Milan has confirmed the departure of manager Simone Inzaghi, just days after their defeat in the Champions League final.
The 49-year-old Inzaghi`s time at Inter included guiding the team to two Champions League finals, securing one Serie A championship, winning two Coppa Italia titles, and lifting the Italian Super Cup three times.

Inzaghi had overseen a new period for Inter since his arrival in 2021, but his squad was convincingly beaten 5-0 by PSG in Saturday`s Champions League final.
The former striker is now expected to take up a lucrative management position in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal, having reached a mutual agreement with Inter`s executives to end his tenure as boss.
A statement from the club read: “The paths of the Club and Simone Inzaghi are separating. This decision was reached by mutual agreement following a meeting that took place moments ago.”
“Inzaghi`s leadership at Inter will be remembered by supporters, players, management, and staff for its significant passion, alongside professionalism and dedication.”
Club president Guiseppe Marotta added: “On behalf of our shareholder Oaktree and the entire Club, I wish to express gratitude to Simone Inzaghi for his work, his passion, and also for the sincerity shown in today`s discussion, which led to the shared decision for our paths to diverge.”
“Only when we have striven together daily for success can we engage in a frank dialogue like the one we had today.”
In a personal statement, Inzaghi wrote: “The time has come for me to bid farewell to this club after four years during which I gave my all.”
“I thank the shareholders for their unwavering trust, and the president and his team for their constant support and communication.”
