Staehr Discusses HooXi’s System Integration in Astralis CS2

Victor “Staehr” Staehr, a member of the Astralis CS2 roster, spoke about the changes in the team`s playstyle following the arrival of Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen. He shared his thoughts in an interview with HLTV.org during the PGL Astana 2025 playoffs.

I like HooXi`s system and how he prefers to call. He has his own system, and sometimes he likes to let us make decisions freely, which is just amazing. I think his system combines very well with our playstyle, and individually, he`s also good at this tournament. He`s done some good things, gotten very important kills, so he`s very good so far. I`m incredibly impressed.

[Question: `HooXi said he`s using some of your old setups along with his own. How is that dynamic working out now?`] In my opinion, it`s very cool. I said it on stage too, that we have the old setups and HooXi`s playstyle, and it`s just an ideal combination for us, at least for now. It seems to me that all players are reacting well to this playstyle, and I feel that everyone has positive emotions and energy for the game. The guys are giving their all, and it`s simply easier for them to take initiative. I like it.

HooXi joined Astralis as a stand-in for PGL Astana 2025. With him, the team reached the playoff semi-finals, where they were scheduled to face Aurora Gaming on May 17th.
