Over the past decade, Valve initiated a significant effort to introduce new gaming hardware into players’ homes. While the initial attempts with the original Steam Machines were largely unsuccessful, Gabe Newell’s company learned valuable lessons from those setbacks, ultimately laying the groundwork for the immense success of the Steam Deck.
Last November, Valve made a comeback, announcing new iterations of the Steam Machine. This refreshed hardware, alongside the new Steam Frame and Steam Controller, is intended to challenge the home console market segment. However, despite some speculation pointing towards a 2026 launch, the exact release date for these ambitious new products remains unconfirmed by Valve.
