Talamasca: The Secret Order Canceled by AMC After One Season

AMC has been diligently building its own shared universe of series, all set within Anne Rice’s broader Immortal Universe. This began with the reboot of *Interview with the Vampire*, quickly expanded to *Mayfair Witches*, and was intended to include *Talamasca: The Secret Order* starting October 2025. However, it’s clear that not everything went as AMC had envisioned, as one of these series has already been canceled after its first season.

*Talamasca: The Secret Order* will not receive a second season of episodes. The supernatural series has been axed, though this doesn’t spell the end for some of its characters or the Talamasca organization itself within the Anne Rice universe.

In a statement, AMC explained, “the Talamasca holds a storied place in Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, and we expect to see at least some of these characters, and the organization itself, in future expressions of the franchise.”

This decision doesn’t appear to signal poor health for the wider Immortal Universe, as *Interview with the Vampire* and *Mayfair Witches* are both well on their way to receiving their third seasons. Instead, it suggests that further extensions might be put on hold while AMC assesses what fans truly expect from the universe.
