Team Spirit Recruits Young CS Talent, Faces Unexpected Setback

Esports organization Team Spirit has announced a partnership with Amir ‘Han’ Darchinov, a 9-year-old Counter-Strike 2 player. The team’s brand manager, Yuri Kruk, confirmed this information to the “CYBER” portal.

Kruk stated, “We have indeed signed Amir. What this will lead to is unknown. There’s a lot of work ahead.”

The young gamer’s parents first revealed the contract signing on their personal YouTube channel. They mentioned that 1win Academy had also shown interest, but Amir’s preference for Team Spirit was the deciding factor.

Despite Darchinov’s impressive 2,355 ELO rating on FACEIT and over 7,800 hours of gameplay, the platform soon banned him until 2029. This ban likely stems from age restrictions, as FACEIT requires users to be at least 13 years old.

The esports community is now watching closely to see how this unusual situation unfolds and what it might mean for the future of young talent in competitive gaming.
