The Ultimate Fighter is making an exhilarating comeback with a brand new season, featuring a captivating showdown between two UFC Hall of Famers stepping into the coaching roles. Former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will go head-to-head against former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
This highly anticipated series is set to premiere on Sunday, June 14, alongside the UFC Freedom 250 event. Following the premiere, new episodes will be released every Tuesday for the remainder of the 12-episode season.
The Ultimate Fighter: Team Cormier vs. Team Bisping will showcase 16 up-and-coming prospects, divided into men’s bantamweight (135 lbs.) and women’s strawweight (115 lbs.) divisions, all competing fiercely to realize their dreams of joining the UFC roster.
This iconic reality show has a rich history of introducing a broad audience to the sport of mixed martial arts and has been a crucial stepping stone for the careers of numerous fighters who went on to become UFC champions and major stars. Notable alumni include Kamaru Usman, Tony Ferguson, T.J. Dillashaw, Rose Namajunas, Nate Diaz, Michael Chiesa, Kelvin Gastelum, Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans, Uriah Hall, and Conor McGregor, who himself served as a coach in TUF 22 and TUF 31.
Daniel Cormier, one of only four athletes in UFC history to hold two titles simultaneously, is embarking on his third coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter, having previously coached in Season 27. He aims to make a strong statement this season, imparting the invaluable skills and experience that propelled him to significant victories over elite opponents such as Stipe Miocic, Anderson Silva, and Alexander Gustafsson. Cormier is determined to achieve a dominant victory over Bisping in their coaching rivalry.
Michael Bisping, a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 3, returns for his third time as a coach on the very show that helped mold him into a UFC champion and Hall of Famer. Following his coaching debut in Season 14, Bisping is now eager to once again impart the characteristic grit and high fight IQ that defined his memorable triumphs against Anderson Silva, Luke Rockhold, and Dan Henderson. His goal is to out-coach Cormier and lead his team to overall victory in the competition.
Previous seasons of The Ultimate Fighter will become available for viewing starting in late May.
