Tottenham Makes Surprise Inquiry About Alejandro Garnacho Transfer

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur have made an unexpected inquiry regarding Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho. The North London club is reportedly determined to add an attacking player before the transfer window closes on Monday.

This development comes after Tottenham’s failed attempt to sign Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel. The club had reportedly agreed to a £50 million deal for Tel, but the French player declined the move following a meeting with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Having missed out on Tel, Tottenham has now turned their attention to Garnacho. The 20-year-old Argentine winger was recently left out of United’s squad for the Manchester derby, leading to speculation about his future at Old Trafford. However, United manager Ruben Amorim has since praised Garnacho’s improvement and attitude.

Manchester United are said to have demanded £65 million when Chelsea inquired about Garnacho earlier this month. The Red Devils have also reportedly rejected multiple bids from Napoli, including one around £50 million.

Garnacho has made 22 Premier League appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. In total, he has played 121 matches for United, netting 23 goals and assisting 15.

Tottenham’s interest in Garnacho comes as they seek to bolster their attacking options. The club has also been linked with Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling in recent days.

As the transfer deadline approaches, Tottenham are also looking to strengthen their defense, especially following an injury to recent signing Radu Dragusin. The club has reportedly agreed a deal for former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori from AC Milan, though the player is still considering the potential move.
