Tottenham Supporters Organize Massive Protest Against Chairman Daniel Levy

Tottenham Hotspur fans are planning their biggest protest yet against club chairman Daniel Levy during this Sunday’s Premier League match against Manchester United. The demonstration, organized by a group of disgruntled season ticket holders called Change for Tottenham, will take place before and after the game.

Protesters intend to march prior to kickoff and then stage a sit-in protest in the South Stand following the final whistle. Their goal is to pressure majority owners ENIC to sell the club and for Levy to step down from his position.

Levy has faced increasing calls for his resignation in recent matches, with injury-plagued Spurs currently sitting 14th in the league table and eliminated from both domestic cup competitions. Fan frustration has reached a boiling point over the lack of trophies, as the club has not won any silverware since 2008.

Jamie Coughlan of Change for Tottenham stated this is by far the strongest anti-Levy sentiment among fans in the chairman’s 24-year tenure. He noted that just five years ago, Tottenham was competing in a Champions League final, but now finds itself in a relegation battle.

While Tottenham ranks as the world’s ninth-richest club under Levy’s leadership, they also have the Premier League’s lowest wages-to-turnover ratio at just 42 percent. Protesters hope the unrest could entice potential buyers to make an offer for the club, which is valued at around £4 billion.

The planned demonstration highlights the growing discontent with Tottenham’s ownership and direction under Levy’s stewardship. Fans are demanding change and success after years of perceived underachievement despite the club’s financial growth.
