Transgender MMA Title Fight to Be Held in New Jersey

Critical Combat has announced the inaugural mixed martial arts (MMA) title bout between two transgender athletes.

The historic fight is scheduled for June 20, 2026, in Middletown, New Jersey. Summer Brady and Gita Figueroa will compete for the undisputed Critical Combat Femme Championship in the Super Lightweight division.

Summer Brady, formerly known as Sean Brady (not to be confused with the UFC fighter), holds an amateur Muay Thai record of 3 wins and 2 losses.

Gita Figueroa, on the other hand, has an amateur MMA record of 1 win and 2 losses, along with experience in multiple kickboxing and Muay Thai contests.

Brady and Figueroa previously faced each other in December under Muay Thai rules, where Gita secured a victory by unanimous decision.
