“Travoman Rule” Introduced in European Pro League Season 25

The organizers of the European Pro League Season 25 for Dota 2 have adjusted the tournament rules following an incident with the team Rabotyagi. Tournament officials have added a clarification that prohibits individuals associated with a participating team from betting on matches in which their team is competing.

“Travoman Rule” 9.0

Official team personnel, including managers, coaches, owners, players, and other individuals who have significant influence on the team’s operations (hereinafter referred to as “media personalities” and management), are prohibited from placing bets on matches involving their team. This can lead to the team’s disqualification.

On March 20th, Timur “Travoman” Khafizov, the owner of Rabotyagi, publicly bet against his own team in a match against Bikini Bottom in the EPL S25 group stage. Rabotyagi lost the match, and were subsequently disqualified from the competition due to Travoman’s bet. Khafizov mentioned that the rules did not explicitly prohibit such actions at the time.
