Interview with Micah Haas
Undefeated flyweight Micah Haas (7-0) is meticulously preparing for his highly anticipated title bout against Jake Scott (8-1) at WXC 100, scheduled for April 11th. In a recent interview, Haas offered insights into his rigorous training regimen, his dedication to utilizing his platform for mental health advocacy, and his aspirations for securing a UFC contract with a pivotal victory. He particularly highlighted the substantial boost in confidence he has derived from sparring sessions with current UFC flyweight contender, Tatsuro Taira.
Haas described his current training camp as the most challenging and intensive of his career. “This has been the hardest training camp I’ve ever experienced,” he stated. “Knowing this is a five-round fight, I’ve been doing three sessions a day without a single active rest day. Moreover, I’ve intentionally elevated the caliber of my training partners. I’ve had the invaluable opportunity to spar with elite fighters such as Brandon Royval, Luis Gurie, and Tatsuro Taira. This rigorous preparation and the high-level sparring have truly endowed me with an extra level of confidence as I approach WXC 100.”
