Valve Addresses Critical Bugs in Dota 2 Patch 7.38, Resolving Issues That Led to Hero and Item Restrictions at DreamLeague Season 25
Valve has released a minor update for Dota 2, addressing several critical bugs that emerged following the release of patch 7.38. Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman shared information about the latest client changes on his personal Telegram channel.
The release of patch 7.38 on February 19 introduced several game-breaking bugs to Dota 2. Shortly after matches began in the new tour of DreamLeague Season 25, organizers implemented a set of restrictions to prevent teams from exploiting these errors to their advantage.
These limitations included banning certain heroes like Anti-Mage and Dazzle, as well as prohibiting the purchase of specific items such as Lotus Orb and Revenant’s Brooch. The quick action by Valve to resolve these issues should allow for a return to normal gameplay in professional matches and public games alike.
