Valve has released a new update for Dota 2 that fixes a bug concerning the buyback cost display for the hero Doom when he uses the “Devil`s Bargain” aspect. Previously, the game would show an incorrect amount of gold needed to perform a buyback.
The issue came to public attention during a match at PGL Wallachia Season 4 between Aurora Gaming and PARIVISION. Aurora Gaming`s carry player, Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko, encountered this specific buyback bug during their game.
Following an extensive technical pause, Aurora Gaming eventually decided to concede the match to PARIVISION.
According to Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman, who shared details on his Telegram channel, the bug was fixed by Valve during the technical pause. However, he stated that the fix would not have altered the outcome of that particular game.
In the lower bracket of the tournament, Aurora Gaming is scheduled to play against Tundra Esports on March 26th at 13:00 MSK.
PGL Wallachia Season 4 is currently taking place in Bucharest, Romania, running from April 19th to 27th. Teams are competing for a substantial prize pool totaling $1,000,000.
