Valve Raises Minimum MMR for Immortal Draft to 8,500

Valve has implemented changes to the Immortal Draft rules in Dota 2. The update details were published on the game’s Steam page.

Now, players with a Matchmaking Rating (MMR) of 8,500 or higher will automatically be eligible for the Immortal Draft mode. Participants must register their nicknames to compete in these matches. Furthermore, the results of these matches will now be hidden from public viewing.

Previously, Valve shut down a Chinese service that allowed access to private data from professional Dota 2 team practices. This service exploited a vulnerability in the MOBA’s API keys. Following complaints from analysts and other members of the Dota 2 community, Valve addressed and eliminated this method of data access.
