Nikolay Petrosyan, CEO of the esports organization Virtus.pro, commented on the rapid transfer of Ilya Zalutskiy, known as Perfecto, to the club`s Counter-Strike 2 roster. He shared his perspective in a recent interview.
Asked about the speed of the signing process, specifically completing it just two days after the player announced he was looking for a team, and whether such quick legal preparation and announcement are truly possible, Petrosyan responded:
“When we say that Virtus.pro is a professional esports organization setting new standards in the industry, we are being truthful. For us, anything is truly possible. Our lawyers are capable of preparing a comprehensive professional contract, taking into account all the nuances of interaction between the club and the player, even within a single day. Naturally, with sufficient desire and motivation from the player, he will review and sign this contract. And our media team can find creative solutions to prepare an announcement without requiring numerous, multi-day filming sessions. So, there is nothing surprising about this. This is our standard way of operating. And this is not the first, and I hope not the last time, we finalize deals and prepare announcements in just a matter of days or even hours.
I would like to specifically acknowledge Ilya and his constructive attitude in finding compromise solutions during the contract discussion. He showed himself to be a true professional and a player highly motivated to return to the tier-1 scene. Ilya also facilitated us quickly reaching an agreement on all terms without unnecessary delays.”
Virtus.pro announced the signing of Perfecto on June 25, replacing Timur FL4MUS Maryev. The team also emphasized that with Zalutskiy`s transfer, the club`s CS2 roster is now fully assembled.
