Virtus.pro Support Rein on PGL Wallachia Struggles

Virtus.pro Dota 2 support, Vladislav “Rein” Kosygin, shared his thoughts on the team`s unsatisfactory performance at PGL Wallachia Season 5. Posting on Telegram, he pointed to issues with their understanding of the meta and strategy as key factors.

We didn`t get a good feel for the meta, didn`t really use Axe/QoP/Fiend/DP, overthought several strategies in a couple of days, couldn`t agree on something that works. It`s an unsatisfactory result, we have a couple of days to be sad about it, but then we`ll jump into full tryhard preparation for EWC, we`ll try to surprise you again this year (you`ve already seen Top 16, we need something else).

PGL Wallachia Season 5 took place from June 21st to 29th in Bucharest, Romania, featuring 16 teams competing for a $1 million prize pool. Virtus.pro finished the tournament tied for 15th-16th place after going 0-3 in the group stage. During the group stage, the team lost their matches against Team Tidebound, BetBoom Team, and Nigma Galaxy.
