VooDooSh Names Reason for Increased Streamer Bans

Streamer Alexander “VooDooSh” Shalchinov explained why Twitch administration has recently increased the frequency of channel blocks. He shared this information on Telegram.

The core issue is this: there`s a harsh wave of bans happening now for betting banners with direct links under streams.

And here, our beloved Twitch, always ahead of the curve, simply introduced a new rule themselves, didn`t warn anyone about the changes, and just handed out 1-day bans to everyone, leaving them to figure out why.

Frankly, the very fact of how easily mistaken or correct bans are issued is astonishing. It`s surprising that essentially the main driving force of the platform—that is, the content makers themselves—are the most vulnerable link. Getting banned now is elementary, whether due to mass reports from bots, suddenly appearing rules (which you learn about via a warning ban), unclear requests from who knows whom and based on what, and so on.

Overall, these are just the times we live in; there`s essentially no official support for the Russian region, and everything is left to chance.

On April 30th, VooDooSh received his first ban on Twitch in seven years of streaming. The suspension is for 24 hours. Besides him, on the same day, the platform`s administration also imposed restrictions on the channels of Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev and Ivan “StRoGo” Shurpatov. Notably, RAMZES666 was previously banned on April 29th, meaning his channel was blocked again just one day later.
