Wayfinder Studios, a Swedish developer, has unveiled its debut project, Wyldheart. This cooperative role-playing game draws inspiration from classic tabletop RPGs and aims to offer a fresh, engaging experience for gaming groups.
Developed by a team with significant prior experience at industry giants such as DICE, Embark Studios, and Mojang, Wyldheart is slated for release on PC. The project is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter to advance its development.
Players can anticipate an adventure set in a rustic fantasy world, where up to four individuals can team up to embark on quests and delve into perilous dungeons. The game boasts a persistent world feature, allowing more than four players to contribute to a larger ongoing campaign over time, even though only four can actively play together at any given moment.
Further planned features include extensive character customization options, a vast world ripe for exploration, and a variety of interactive activities such as cooking, resource gathering, and equipment upgrading. Wyldheart is expected to offer multiple distinct campaigns, providing approximately 10 hours of core story content and an additional 15 hours of supplementary gameplay to discover.
While an official release date for Wyldheart has yet to be announced, interested players can follow its development and support the project via its Kickstarter campaign.
