Stephen Dmytryk Eyes Undefeated Streak and Title Opportunity at AOW 48

Stephen Dmytryk is setting his sights on maintaining his perfect professional record and potentially earning a title shot at the upcoming Art of War Cage Fighting 48 event. The fight card, scheduled for June 6th at the Valley Forge PA Casino, promises a night of exciting MMA action with multiple professional bouts.

The main card features a championship defense as Ian “the Hammer” Alston faces Chris Renwick for the light heavyweight title. Additionally, Ben “B Mo” Moser will compete against Cole Cameron in a bantamweight clash, and Isaac Kent will make his Art of War debut against Tyler Kirkpatrick.

A highly anticipated flyweight bout pits Christian Carlo, a 2-0 professional with impressive Muay Thai and kickboxing experience, against the equally undefeated Brandon Bohannon. Both fighters are considered rising stars with promising futures in the sport.

The undercard also boasts significant talent, including the promising 20-year-old fighter Stephen Dmytryk. Nicknamed “Darce Chocolate,” a nod to his teammates Kyle Daukaus and Matt Turnbull, Dmytryk has captured attention with his 2-0 professional record. He acknowledges the demanding nature of MMA, stating, “One of the more difficult things you realize is that you have to get beat up for years before you even start getting decent. I’m nowhere near where I want to be. I’m still getting beat up and I’ve been getting beat up for four years but I’m finally getting somewhere where I’m not getting beat up as much.”

Other notable undercard fights include a 170 lb championship bout between Justus Cheatom and Isaiah Herring, a compelling matchup between Chris Molina and AJ Bernieri, and a highly explosive encounter featuring Isaac Pantano and Sean Casey.

Interview with Stephen Dmytryk below:

Art of War Cage Fighting 48 takes place on June 6th at the spacious Valley Forge PA Casino. The event will feature cageside commentary by Javy Guzman and Justin Haskell as Team Bickings presents their next major card for the tri-state area and the growing Starfund App. This fight card is packed with four professional fights and 13 total bouts currently scheduled. With less than two weeks until the event, it is set up for a memorable night.

Main card:

Ian “the Hammer” Alston will defend his light heavyweight title against Chris Renwick, and “B Mo” Ben Moser will bring his legion of fans to battle the crafty and tough Cole Cameron in a bantamweight bout. Isaac Kent will make his AOW debut against Tyler Kirkpatrick.

The fight that is most anticipated is the flyweight matchup between two men who may both eventually find themselves on the next level. Christian Carlo is 25 years old and holds a 2-0 professional record, with both wins coming by finish. He has a wealth of Muay Thai and kickboxing fights on his resume and is coming from New York. His opponent will be Brandon Bohannon, the 24-year-old blossoming star who is also 2-0. It is certain that Carlo rightfully feels the same way about his future as he brings a significant reach advantage, standing at 5’11” compared to Bohannon’s 5’4″.

Undercard:

There are also a number of prospects on the undercard who possess high ceilings and abundant talent. One fighter who is believed to have a bright future is 20-year-old Stephen Dmytryk. “Darce Chocolate” is his nickname, a fascinating combination derived from two of his teammates at The Forge MMA: Kyle Daukaus, “The Darce Knight,” and Matt “White Chocolate” Turnbull. Stephen brings a lot of personality and confidence for a young fighter, but has been able to back it up thus far with a 2-0 record. Dmytryk has a number of tough sparring partners who have helped prepare him, including the aforementioned Brandon Bohannon. A few minutes were taken to speak with Darce Chocolate.
