Superman: Man of Tomorrow Filming Begins Next Week

While 2026 has been a relatively quiet year for DC releases so far, indications are strong that it will be a significant one. June will see the premiere of “Supergirl,” followed by the launch of the “Lanterns” TV series in August, and a horror film focusing on Clayface hitting theaters in October. However, the following year is shaping up to be equally promising, marked by the much-anticipated return of Superman in “Man of Tomorrow.”

The script for “Man of Tomorrow” has been finalized for some time, and it’s known that Lars Eidinger will portray the film’s primary antagonist, Brainiac. This formidable foe will necessitate an unlikely alliance between Superman and his usual adversary, Lex Luthor. During the ongoing CinemaCon event, it was officially announced that production has advanced to the stage where principal photography is imminent.

Filming is scheduled to commence as early as next week, and it’s highly probable that initial leaks will surface online shortly thereafter. “Man of Tomorrow” is slated for a theatrical release on July 9, 2027. Reports suggest that Aaron Pierre’s Green Lantern will make an appearance in the film, with rumors also circulating that Wonder Woman might join him.
