England's Alex Fitzpatrick has triumphantly claimed his maiden DP World Tour title, securing victory at the Hero Indian Open. In a remarkable performance, Fitzpatrick overcame a four-shot deficit on the final day, carding a 69 to win by two strokes over the overnight leader, Eugenio Chacarra, who finished with a 75.

This historic win makes the Fitzpatrick brothers the first siblings to achieve back-to-back victories across the PGA and DP World Tours. Alex's victory comes just one week after his elder brother, Ryder Cup star Matt Fitzpatrick, clinched the Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour.

An emotional Alex Fitzpatrick, celebrating his 87th start on the tour and earning €375,811, shared his joy: "It's been a lot of hard work for a long time. Over the moon. Probably going to cry, but yeah, ecstatic." He surged ahead after making eight birdies in a 12-hole stretch from the sixth, having been six shots behind Chacarra after five holes.
