In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Diaz commented on McGregor's future and the possibility of a third fight between them.
“Conor is a tough guy, but Conor is a fighter,” Diaz stated.
“He’s someone you want to see. I’m not trying to dismiss him. I’m not looking to be defeated by a guy making a comeback. I want a big fight to progress my fighting career. I feel bad for him. I hope he recovers well. Sending positive vibes for his return.
“I’ll start winning fights and doing well, and then I’ll fight him.”
McGregor has indicated a desire to return to the Octagon by Summer 2027, though this plan is tentative. Diaz might consider a return to the UFC if a trilogy fight with McGregor is offered.
