While the spotlight is currently on the Esports World Cup, a major festival set to take over Paris in July and August, the inaugural Esports Nations Cup will also take place later in 2026. This event will pit countries against each other, shifting the focus from club competitions to national pride as teams battle in a variety of video game tournaments throughout November.
League of Legends, for instance, will be one of the featured titles. The Esports Foundation is proactively confirming 16 out of the 32 invited nations (along with their respective rosters) who will directly participate in the event. The remaining 16 nations will be determined through online qualifications in the coming months.
