Neil Magny Isn’t Considering Retirement After UFC 330 Victory
Neil Magny, a seasoned UFC fighter, has indicated that he is not contemplating retirement following his recent victory over Ramiz Brahimaj at UFC 330.
Magny secured a notable win against Brahimaj at UFC 330 last weekend. This performance served as a reminder of the 39-year-old's capabilities in the octagon, despite many anticipating his departure from mixed martial arts.
Magny maintains a professional approach to his career. While he may not be in contention for championship titles in the immediate future, he has demonstrated that he can still compete effectively within the UFC.
During his post-fight press conference, Magny shared his thoughts on the possibility of retirement:
"I have no idea what a retirement fight looks like, so I can’t even put a number on it and say, 'Oh, that’s a good retirement fight.' Retirement isn't even on my radar," Magny stated. "After training, most guys finish and throw their gloves on the mat. I refuse to do that because it symbolizes retirement. So, I'm holding onto these things for as long as possible and fighting as often as I can."
He added, "The day will inevitably come when I can no longer do this. It happens to everyone. But as long as I'm able to continue doing this and loving it, I'll keep showing up."
