Call of Duty Black Ops 7 & Warzone Season 6: Doom Crossover Incoming

Despite Activision's promise that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 would steer clear of outlandish crossovers to maintain a more focused, military simulation style, the current iterations of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone remain open to all sorts of peculiar collaborations.

In line with this, Season 6 of Black Ops 7 and Warzone is set to launch soon, with a release date slated for September 17th. This update will introduce a range of new content to the Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone modes, much of which will embrace a Halloween theme, preparing the game for its final Halloween celebration (even though Modern Warfare 4 will be released before the spookiest day of the year...).

As part of the game's annual "The Haunting" event, id Software's arguably most famous action franchise will make its way into the Call of Duty universe. Doom will arrive in both titles through cosmetic items and various bonuses.

This crossover will be part of the "Doom Event Pass," which will feature two progression paths, one free and one premium, to unlock items. Most of these will be the usual assortment of stickers, sprays, calling cards, and more, but there will also be Doom operators and even weapon blueprints inspired by Doom, specifically for the AN-94, M10, Siren, and the introduction of a special weapon called the Roc 20mm.

The Katana will also receive a blueprint to resemble the Crucible sword wielded by the Doom Slayer. Speaking of that iconic hero, both he and Doom Guy will arrive as JSOC operators, while Wei Lin will also get a "Seeker" skin.
