Order of the Sinking Star Arrives Early October
Jonathan Blow, the visionary behind acclaimed titles like Braid and The Witness, has announced the official release date for his latest creation, Order of the Sinking Star. Originally revealed at The Game Awards in 2025 with a planned 2026 launch, the intricate fantasy puzzle game will now be available on October 8th.
Accompanying the release date announcement is a brand new trailer, offering a deeper glimpse into the puzzles and the captivating world players will explore in Order of the Sinking Star. With an impressive 1,400 puzzles to unravel, the trailer showcases just a fraction of the experience's depth and complexity. Blow himself highlighted that the game’s development spanned approximately a decade and was made possible by the dedicated team at Thekla.
“By creating a kind of ‘supercollider’ of game design, we were able to bring together the ideas of some of the most brilliant puzzle designers in the industry. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to helping us push the boundaries of what is possible in a puzzle adventure game. We can’t wait for players to dive into this world and discover just how rich and complex it truly is,” Blow stated.
