GTA VI Gameplay Leaks Surface Ahead of Official Presentation

Videos that seem to show gameplay from Grand Theft Auto VI have appeared online. Ahead of the official gameplay presentation scheduled for next week, what looks like the complete map, as well as several minutes of driving, shooting, and interaction with the open world, have been seen.

The individual behind the leak, known by the pseudonym Cyberleek at the time of writing, made a statement last night explaining the reasons for this leak. They claim to be "fighting for gamers' rights" (via NikTek) and believe that pre-orders should not exist if a game isn't sold in physical format. While the game is unlikely to be out of stock, Cyberleek apparently thinks Rockstar should produce discs for those who want a physical version of Grand Theft Auto VI.

The leaked videos will not be published here, for reasons that are hopefully obvious. However, as the map leak has already been removed, many people believe this gameplay is authentic. It shows Jason driving on a busy highway in the heart of Leonida, while arguing with an NPC. The map appears to be immense, with five counties to explore. An honor system seems to be integrated in some way, and the graphical quality is on par with the trailers seen so far.

It doesn't look like the clips shown are from the Netflix gameplay presentation we'll see next week, but early impressions of a much more realistic preview of what GTA VI will look like may have just been spoiled by these low-quality leaks.
