Dune: Part Three - The Teaser Prepares for the Final Journey on Arrakis

The return to Arrakis is drawing near, and Warner Bros. has unveiled a significant move: pre-sales for 70mm IMAX screenings have commenced in the USA. Concurrently, a new teaser for Dune: Part Three offers fresh glimpses into the concluding chapter helmed by Denis Villeneuve.

The choice of screening formats is deliberate. After two films meticulously crafted around the grandeur of Arrakis, Villeneuve appears intent on further elevating the cinematic scope of the narrative. The latest material indeed portrays a universe that has undergone profound transformation, where Paul Atreides' victory does not signify the end of the conflict.

The Day After the Conquest

Nearly twenty years have passed since the preceding events, and Timothée Chalamet portrays a Paul who has been irrevocably shaped by the power he now wields. Zendaya returns by his side, and the cast also features Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, Jason Momoa, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Javier Bardem.

The story will pick up from the events of Dune Messiah, shifting the narrative focus from Paul's conquests to the repercussions of his power. This perspective could radically alter how the protagonist is remembered.

Villeneuve returns to direct and co-write the screenplay with Brian K. Vaughan. The Italian release of Dune: Part Three is scheduled for December 16th, two days before the arrival of Avengers: Doomsday.
