Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls - Rocket Raccoon, Battle Pass, and New Costumes Leaked
Rocket Raccoon may be joining the roster of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls as an additional character. This indication comes from a datamine of the PC version, published by user Neoxon on ResetEra and reported by VGC, which also includes references to new costumes and a yet-to-be-officially-announced Battle Pass.
One of the screenshots displays a string related to the story mode where Kamala Khan encounters Groot and Rocket. An internal note associated with the scene explicitly identifies Rocket as "future DLC," a detail suggesting his potential arrival after launch. The same material also contains the labels Classic and Legacy associated with costumes for Hulk, Spider-Man, Green Goblin, and Doctor Doom.
The datamine appears to go beyond just characters. According to Twisted Voxel, strings related to Battle Points, experience, levels, rewards, level purchases, and Battle Pass upgrades are present in the files. Tickets linked to costumes and references to cosmetic and customization elements also appear.
The inclusion of additional fighters and costumes post-launch is already confirmed. In the PlayStation Blog, Arc System Works specified that the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass includes four additional playable characters and a new stage. The first is Phoenix Cyclops, officially announced in July; in the same Arc System Works update, the studio also confirmed its intention to continue adding alternative costumes.
This makes Rocket and the variants found in the files compatible with the already declared post-launch plans, but it does not constitute a confirmation of their arrival. The situation with the Battle Pass is even more uncertain: Sony and Arc System Works have not announced it, and the identified references could pertain to content still under development, modified, or not intended for release.
