Kiamran Nabati Aims for Rematch with Yod-IQ After Facing Nontachai

Kiamran Nabati's recent victory could lead to a desired rematch since May.

The Russian fighter is set to headline The Inner Circle 31 against Nontachai Jitmuangnon in a significant bantamweight Muay Thai match. The fight will stream live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, September 18. This bout was initially slated for ONE Fight Night 46 last month but was removed due to a failed hydration test and Nontachai's illness.

Nabati's primary goal is one weight class higher, targeting the newly crowned ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion, Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri. Yod-IQ is the only fighter to have defeated Nabati professionally, winning by split decision in May. He then secured the title against Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon in a five-round battle at The Inner Circle 30.

“I want to congratulate Yod-IQ. It was a good fight, and he won all five rounds against Rambolek. When I saw his fight, I knew that I could beat this guy because our fight was so close and I thought I was winning,” Nabati stated.

Nabati understands that winning against Nontachai on Friday is essential before pursuing other ambitions. He's focused on this immediate challenge, though the larger goal remains in sight.

The rematch he seeks is clearly on his mind as fight week approaches. He's already considering how to approach the matchmakers.

“For now, I want to beat Nontachai – that’s my target. After that, I will try to ask the matchmakers to give me a rematch because it’s gonna be five rounds and it will be a war.

“We will go there to win or die.”
