Jets Trim Training Camp Roster to 34
Winnipeg Jets significantly reduced their training camp roster on Wednesday, bringing it down to 34 players from 46.
The team reassigned Colby Barlow, Alfons Freij, Kevin He, Jacob Julien, Isaac Poulter, Fabian Wagner, Lucas Wahlin, and Kieron Walton to the Manitoba Moose, whose own training camp commenced Monday.
Additionally, Davis Burnside, Lukas Gustafsson, Dysin Mayo, and Ashton Sautner were released from their professional tryout agreements. These four players will also join the Moose.
The Jets have a 1-1-1 record in three preseason games to date. They have one more exhibition match scheduled for Friday, September 25, against the Avalanche in Colorado.
The team faces a deadline of Monday, September 28, to finalize their roster at 23 players, one day before the 2026-27 regular season begins. The Jets will open their home schedule and the regular season on Friday, October 2, facing the Boston Bruins.
