Angelic: Dark Symphony - A Story-Driven Tactical RPG from Bungie & Crytek Veterans

Building upon the legacy of evolved J-RPGs where narrative and combat harmonize, like 'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33', comes a darker, more sinister iteration: Angelic: Dark Symphony, the debut title from Angelicore Game Studios.

Angelicore is far from a newcomer. The studio is comprised of seasoned veterans from industry giants such as Bungie, Crytek, and Ceidot Game Studios, bringing with them a wealth of technical expertise and unparalleled experience in action-oriented game design. In Angelic: Dark Symphony, players will explore a world where humanity, as we know it, has vanished. What remains are artificially hyper-evolved individuals tasked with confronting other entities that have also emerged from human evolution but have since rebelled against them – known as 'angels'. The gameplay revolves around assembling a diverse team of characters, each with their own distinct motivations and complementary powers, for strategic turn-based combat.

"Angelic was born from a question: what if humanity was forced to adapt to space faster than evolution allowed?" stated Erkan Bayol, founder and game director at Angelicore Game Studios. "Humanity's answer was to create neo-humans, beings they would eventually call angels. But as the powerful corporations in charge realized that the neo-humans were superior to ordinary humans in almost every way, they sought to suppress and exploit them. From that point on, conflict became inevitable."

This core philosophy deeply influences the game's structure. Dark Symphony eschews a single protagonist surrounded by supporting cast. Instead, players experience the narrative through the interwoven journeys of multiple heroes, controlling them fully during turn-based battles. You don't choose one angel to carry the story; you live it through each of them.

Currently, details on Angelic: Dark Symphony are scarce, beyond its active development and utilization of Unreal Engine 5. However, you can catch the first cinematic trailer and a selection of screenshots below.
