Last year, just before Christmas, the second season of "Fallout" premiered, continuing Lucy MacLean's and The Ghoul's journey, this time heading towards New Vegas. The series quickly captivated audiences, consistently achieving high ratings and an impressive 96% score on a major review aggregation platform, receiving universal praise from both critics and viewers.
Now, approximately two months after Season 2 concluded, concrete performance data is finally available. Reports indicate that over the 91 days following its launch, "Fallout" seasons collectively garnered 100 million views, with a staggering 83 million attributed solely to the second season.
This monumental success positions "Fallout: Season 2" as the most successful returning series in Amazon Prime Video's history. It soared to the number one spot in over 80 countries, demonstrating remarkable global appeal as its international audience even surpassed domestic viewership, accounting for 53% of total views.
Given these exceptional figures, it's highly probable that Amazon is working diligently to accelerate production for the third season as much as possible. Considering that a year and a half passed between the first two seasons, a similar production timeline would place a potential Season 3 premiere in the summer of 2027.
The crucial question remains: Will Amazon be able to maintain the same high quality for Season 3?
Filming for the third season of Fallout is expected to commence in May.
