Details surrounding "The Legend of Zelda Movie" are scarce, especially with its release date looming on April 30, 2027. So far, only two cast members have been officially announced: Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda. However, according to Kyle Buchanan, a journalist for The New York Times, Ganondorf will indeed be a character, and the role will be filled by Australian actor Uli Latukefu.

Latukefu, an actor and singer of Tongan descent (an island nation in Polynesia), is perhaps most recognized for his portrayal of a young Dwayne Johnson in the television series "Young Rock." His physique makes him a fitting choice to embody such an iconic and imposing villain.

The 42-year-old Latukefu has also appeared in "Alien: Covenant," "Black Adam," "MaXXXine," and the series "Countdown." However, stepping into the role of Ganondorf in "The Legend of Zelda" is poised to be his most significant role to date. It's important to note that while this casting has not been officially confirmed by Nintendo, it appears to be highly credible.

There are also rumors that Dichen Lachman may be in consideration for the role of Impa. She has been spotted in set photos, but this casting also remains unconfirmed. With the film's release scheduled for next spring, Nintendo and Sony are expected to begin sharing more information soon.
