Control Resonant Will Be Longer Than the Original Game

Despite its incredibly unique and captivating powers, along with a completely immersive universe, the original Control was a relatively short game. My own completed save file, according to my Epic Games account, clocked in at around 9 hours for just finishing the main story with a few side quests. While some might worry that Control Resonant might take a similar amount of time to complete, Game Director Mikael Kasurinen has confirmed that the sequel will be longer.

In an interview with MinnMax, Kasurinen revealed that Control Resonant will be longer than the original game. He specifically mentioned that a full playthrough would require more hours. It's not yet clear if this additional time is primarily due to optional segments, but it's also confirmed that there will be plenty of tough optional bosses for players who want to challenge themselves for even more hours.

The story is divided into chapters, which could be another way for Control Resonant to extend its playtime a bit. In any case, Remedy is aiming big with this sequel, and we'll be able to discover all the ways they've achieved this starting next September.
